Rice husk ash
Rice husk ash is produced from rice husk by burning. Rice husk is the hull obtained during the hulling operation of unhulled rice. When burned, ash is formed in an amount of about 20% of the husk mass. Ash consists mainly of silica and a small amount of other compounds. Rice husk ash can be used as a heat-insulating material in the metallurgical industry, as well as in the tire and cement industries.
